Julia Sewell, Toddler Teacher
Julia lives in Freeland, Washington with three sons, 9, 7 and 2 years old; two cats, a turtle, and her husband Jamie. She earned her B.S. in Education from Missouri State University, with Early Childhood Certification. Most recently Julia was a full day Kindergarten teacher at North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts, a Title I school, where she continued her education as a reading specialist, earning a certificate from the Reading First Academy. During this time she worked with many disadvantaged children with learning, behavioral, and emotional disabilities. Prior to her sabbatical in Florida, Julia worked with co-operative preschools in both the Phinney and Shoreline neighborhoods of Seattle, serving on the board as both Fundraising Coordinator and Newsletter editor; while she was owner of The Flower Company, a floral & gift boutique in Greenwood. In those rare moments called spare time, Julia likes to read, cook, garden, and sew projects for special occasions.
Michelle Papritz, Preschool Teacher
Michelle discovered that she loved to work with preschoolers during a master’s level internship in a therapeutic preschool. Since that experience she has worked with families in crisis, done assessments for a therapeutic daycare and taught many ages of children as a volunteer. Michelle also has parented 3 children, none of whom, sadly, are preschoolers anymore — they are 9,7, and 5 years old. She has a BSW from BYU and a MSW from UW with an emphasis on child and family. She and her husband are currently building a house in Langley. In her spare time she loves to plant things, read good books, and eat ice cream.
